A fairly common practice in professional services organizations is to funnel time and expense through an internal approval process. Often, this approval is routed to client or project-based leadership as a means of providing visibility into billable T&E that is being entered. In fact, by default, Ruddr routes T&E approvals to members designated as Project Admins.
That said, there may be some workspaces, or specific projects, that require more than one T&E approver. Whether you need to satisfy client audit requests, provide an audit trail to satisfy certification requirements, or provide visibility to both project and organizational operations teams, Ruddr has a feature to support more sophisticated approval processes -- Multi-Step Approval Workflow.
With this feature, Ruddr provides Project Admins with the ability to set up more than one approval step for time and / or expenses on a project. In doing so, Project Admins can also specify the approvers to be engaged in the approval steps. By leveraging the Multi-step Approval Workflow feature, Ruddr workspaces can divvy up time and expense approval by engaging other, designated roles / members in the workspace, such a Member's Manager, a Client Relationship Owner, or a specific member.
